There are many ways to help fight the battle of animal cruelty. The SPCA is one of the many organizations that help fight this battle. The SPCA International is committed to raising awareness about all the frequent violence and abuses endured by innocent animals across the globe. It is also dedicated to helping a greater number of people here in the United States be aware about the laws pertaining to animal cruelty and how to report it. It takes animals that are neglected or abused rehabilitats them and tries to get them adopted.You can make donations to help the SPCA run and function or volunteer your time to the animals and show them love.
Other ways of helping stop animal cruelty is simple by reporting abuse if you see it happen or if you find a stray dog or cat call animal control.Also knowing your states animal cruelty laws helps in recognizing it when you see it so you can report it right away.Another thing is by supporting not only the SPCA and ASPCA but your local animal shelters and rescue facilities.

Dog fighting!

It is an illegal sport in which two dogs fight each other mostly till the death of one of them.It is used for selfish entertainment and to make a profit from admission fees and gambling. It has been happening they think sense the time people first started the domestication of the species. Thousands of innocent dogs have been breed specificly for this sport and are raised to be cruel. Also if if a dog does not die during the fight the losing dog mostly gets shot and killed anyway. Another thing is that they use is "bait" animals that are used to test a dog's fighting instinct, and these animals are often mauled or killed in the process. Trainers obtain bait animals from several sources: wild or feral animals, animals obtained from a shelter, or in some cases, stolen pets. They are smaller dog,cats,rabbits ect. It is extremely cruel and wrong in all aspects of life. This sport still happens and is very underground.

What is animal cruelty?

Everyday thousands of animals are mistreated and abused,known as animal cruelty, which consists of many different things. Cruelty to animals is the infliction of suffering or harm upon animals, other than humans, for purposes other than self-defense.Also there are three main types of animal cruelty the categories are: neglect, intentional cruelty or sexual abuse. Neglect could be someone not feeding there animal or giving them water.Also if they do not buy bigger collars as the animal grows and it gets embedded into their skin. Intentional cruelty would be hitting your animal, burning it with something,ect. Sexual abuse would be as stated that a human is having sexual intercourse with an animal.
